LLB (Hons) Law

This is the first step to starting your legal training as a solicitor or barrister. The course helps develop skills and tests your ability to engage in critical analysis, solve legal problems and undertaking independent research. You will be given the opportunity to study both the academic and practical aspects of law and expand your knowledge on the basic features of the UK legal systems and the context in which the law operates. As well as equipping you with the skills required for a legal career, this degree also equips you with skills which are highly regarded in other occupations [see below for options].

The degree is taught through a range of participation in lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminar presentations, mooting (debating points of law before a judge), group work and projects.
