Leeds Trinity University (Associated with GBS)

Leeds Trinity's goal after becoming a University College in 2009 after 43 years established as a college was to obtain full university status. Leeds Trinity University College became Leeds Trinity University in 2012 after the government declared that colleges with a minimum of 1,000 students (formerly 4,000) may apply. The University also expanded its portfolio, offering Degree Apprenticeships, Higher Apprenticeships and Foundation Year courses, and it achieved Silver in the Teaching Excellence Framework in 2017.
